What is Mineral Magic?
Mineral Magic is biogenic amorphous silica — the fossilised remains of radiolarian plankton that lived in Australia’s inland seas over 125 million years ago. Its intricate honeycomb structure absorbs and releases plant-available water and nutrients far more efficiently than clay, holding over 60% of its weight in water and feeding it back to the root zone. One natural material, milled into three chip grades for lawns, gardens and hydroponics.

How to apply
Base rate 500g/m² — a 20kg bag treats up to 40m².
- New lawns & beds: mix 500g–1kg/m² through the top ~10cm of soil with a hoe (add up to 10kg/m² for even more water & nutrient holding).
- Topdressing turf: core the lawn, apply 500g/m² blended with compost, and water in with a wetting agent.
- Pots & potting mix: 5–20% of the mix by volume.
- Hydroponics: grow in 100% Mineral Magic — you can’t add too much.
